Fire Iron
Fire iron was an extremely durable, naturally occurring arcane metal that was found in only one place on Legere: Mount Ferrum. Melted down by the high temperature and pressure of Legere’s core, it poured out in molten form where it was quickly harvested by expert craftsmen from Southwest and Northeast Walwhite. Fire iron was forged into all manners of tools, weapons, armour, and other contraptions. It was an exceptional material with a very high melting point and durability, and was thus coveted highly by people all across Legere. The Righteous Order struck a deal with both Walwhites: in return for protection, the Walwhite metalsmiths would provide the Holy Knights with the highest quality blades, plate, and shields.
Destrian geologists theorized that the molten core of Legere was made of fire iron.
Material Properties #
Fire iron appeared as a shiny silver with the slightest bluish tinge. It was among the hardest of all metals found on Legere.
With a melting point so high that it required the depths of Legere to liquify the metal, fire iron took an incredible amount of power to forge with once it had cooled. Majority of fire iron manufactory transpired immediately after it was harvested from the molten rivers of Mount Ferrum.
When it rusted, fire iron formed a crimson-coloured oxide.
